Using BellyGuard is quick and easy. A proper fit helps your pet stay comfortable while protecting the healing area. Follow these simple steps before and during use to ensure the best possible experience.
Before You Begin
Before putting on BellyGuard, take a moment to check that you’ve selected the correct size for your pet. A snug but comfortable fit provides the right level of support without restricting movement.
If your pet has recently had surgery, always follow your veterinarian’s care instructions first.

Stay Calm and Prepare Your Pet
Choose a quiet space where your pet feels relaxed. Speaking gently and offering reassurance can help make the process easier.
Unfasten BellyGuard
Open all snaps, zippers, or hook-and-loop closures so the garment is fully opened before placing it on your pet.
Insert the Front Legs
Carefully guide each front leg through the correct opening. Take your time and avoid forcing the garment into place.
Pull the Garment Over the Body
Gently pull BellyGuard over your pet’s shoulders and body until it comfortably covers the recovery area.
Position the Rear Section
Guide the back portion into place so the garment sits naturally around your pet’s body without twisting or bunching.
Secure the Closures
Fasten all closures securely. BellyGuard should fit snugly enough to stay in place while still allowing your pet to move comfortably.
Check the Fit
Make sure the garment is lying flat against your pet’s body. You should be able to slide two fingers between the fabric and your pet without difficulty.
